I think Ashton admitting how depressed he was in the Kerrang article is really really important. It just goes to show that you can be seemingly doing everything right in your life and doing what you love every single day and in the midst of all it it still not be enough. It shows that no one is immune to depression, and even though he seemingly has the world it still really messed with him. It’s just fucking with me that I look to him and this band for my happiness and for my escape, but do they have an escape? Do they feel trapped?

Has anyone ever talked about the meaning behind the locations in the JBH video? Michael is in what looks like a relatively empty hotel room or bedroom, which might refer to his struggles with insomnia. Luke is in a room with several musical instruments, maybe he feels a lot of pressure to perform. Ashton’s in front of a big city, maybe he feels insignificant, or maybe he misses home when he’s out on the road. Calum is in what looks like an empty venue, maybe he’s anxious about no one showing up to their concerts, maybe he feels alone.

Has this been discussed anywhere, have 5SOS talked about it somewhere?
